Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for adults aged 19 or over. A Skills Bootcamp is a flexible training program specifically designed to address the in-demand skills required by employers in various sectors.
Skills Bootcamps cater to the diverse needs of adults aged 19 and above, including those who are full-time or part-time employed, unemployed, returning to work after a break, self-employed, prisoners on temporary release, and those due to be released in 6 months.
These Skills Bootcamps are intensive training programs that enable you or your business to acquire new skills and knowledge in a particular field or industry.

What are Employer-led Skills Bootcamps?
Who are they for?
Our Employer-led Skill Bootcamps are for any business in Somerset or Dorset, small, medium or large, looking to either upskill their current staff or recruit new employees with specific skills.
What are the costs?
If your business has less than 250 employees, you’ll only pay 10% of the total cost of the Skills Bootcamp, with the government funding the other 90%.
For larger organisations, you’ll pay 30% of the total cost of the Skills Bootcamp, with the government funding the other 70%.
These programs effectively prepare employees for real-world challenges and job progression opportunities by aligning the training with your business needs and industry trends.
