Your future. SORTED! School Support Programme

Good News: Your future. SORTED! Continues and Expands

The Dorset and Somerset Training Provider Network (DSTPN), who proudly delivered the ASK programme locally for the past five years, will be delivering a school support programme across Dorset and Somerset. This allows us to continue providing impartial careers guidance to schools and educational establishments on apprenticeships and technical education.

We will be expanding our existing “Your future. SORTED!” resource to include a dedicated awareness-raising and support programme. This will be facilitated by our experienced Apprenticeship and Skills Advisers: Nikki, Joanne, and Marie

From September 2025, our enhanced “Your future. SORTED!” offer will include:

  • Your future. SORTED! Directories: Comprehensive online resources providing students, parents/carers, teachers, and stakeholders with up-to-date information on training and career options. This includes Apprenticeships, T-Levels, Internships, SEND progression opportunities, and details of local training providers.
  • Skills Elevators: A series of graphics designed to help people explore potential job roles across a variety of sectors and understand the skills and knowledge required at each level.
  • Year 10 Awareness Assembly: A whole-year assembly focused on Apprenticeships (from Foundation to Higher/Degree) and Technical Education (e.g., T-Levels). Each session will be a minimum of 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A to maximise impact and student engagement.
  • Targeted Support for SEND Students: A dedicated service for Year 12–14 students in special schools, focusing on their unique progression pathways.
  • Careers Fair Attendance: Our team will be available to attend your school’s careers fairs, offering direct support and information to students and parents where impactful engagement is assured.
